The Institute For Helping The Disabled

Empowering Persons with Disabilities Since 1995

About The Institute

A registered society serving persons with multiple disabilities across Odisha.

Founded 1995

Our Story

The Institute was founded in 1995 under the visionary leadership of the late Smt. Nandini Satapathy, inspired by Sri Jagannath Panda’s lifelong dedication to people with disabilities.

It operates as a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, bringing together specialists in ENT, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, physiotherapy, audiology and speech therapy, occupational therapy, social work, and industry leadership.

Over the past three decades, we have grown from a small community initiative into a recognised institution serving children and families with multiple disabilities across the state.
